National Survey Says

 
Survey says chamber members are seen as respected leaders
 by consumers and business owners
 
A national Study was done by The Shapiro Group, an Atlanta-based market research firm, and there were very positive results for chambers and their members.  Below are some of the statistics presented by the survey, starting with consumer perception.
 
NATIONAL STUDY SHOWS BEING A CHAMBER MEMBER IS A BENEFIT
*Consumers are 63% more likely to buy goods and services in the future from a company that they believe is a member of the local chamber
*When consumers know that a business is a member of the local chamber they are 44% more likely to think favorably about it.
*Consumers who are told that a business is a chamber member are 51% more likely to be highly aware of it and 57% more likely to think positively of it reputation.

There were also positive results regarding businesses that sell to other businesses.  The survey stated, “when business decision makers believe that a business is a chamber member they are 37% more likely to think favorably of the business, 51% more likely to be highly aware of it, 58% more likely to think positively of its local reputation and 59% more likely to buy goods and services from it.

Overall, when asked about the local chambers themselves and their impact on the local economy,  the study states that 82% of respondents believe that the local chamber helps create jobs and promotes local economic development.
 
This reflects the important role we play as an organization and as a leader in the business community. It confirms that what we do is valuable and chamber members are seen as respected leaders in the business community.
